Last month I completed some motion graphics for AFLPA (the AFL Players Association). I worked with AKA Nancy Vaudeville to create a motion graphic intro and animated lower third for a new documentary about the history of the association. The documentary used a lot of old photographs, newspaper clippings and magazine covers so we decided to go with a grungy ‘old film’ style for the graphics. Inspiration was drawn from the movies ‘Stranger Than Fiction’, ‘Up in the Air’ and some others.
Video coming soon.

New blog site now live!
May 1, 2010
I’m please to launch my new dedicated blog site at www.purplesquirrels.com.au. I decided to move my blog onto its own site with a new WordPress installation and using a proper theme. I created my own custom WordPress theme and copied some of the old posts from the blog on this site as some starting posts. The new blog now displays Flash and code properly and can be embedded directly into the posts, the posts are now searchable and more search engine friendly. It is all now much more organised and accessible. I have also linked the blog to display latest posts below, with the titles now linking to the actual posts rather than the general blog.

The film is to be shown at the Cannes Film Festival in May. For more information on Forlorn Gaze see here.

Site Reorganisation
January 13, 2010
Currently I am working on reorganising the home page and a few other areas of the site, which you will see take shape progressively over the next few weeks. As you can see I have added a brief blog roll on the right which links to the main blog, as well as this news section which displays only the most recent post. The ‘more news’ link below will take you to older posts.
I decided to separate my personal blog and Nemen Visual news for better organisation and to make it easier to find stuff.
